If you read my post a couple of days ago about making Homemade Laundry Soap, then you're probably wondering what I do for Fabric Softener. Do I spend $5-$8 every few weeks to buy new softener? No! Here's what I use......and believe me it's really, really easy!
Frugal Fabric Softener
Use 1/4 cup of white vinegar with each load of laundry you wash!
Just put it in the softener dispenser and that's it! Told you it was easy! :)
Now, I know the next question going through your head is: "Will my laundry smell like vinegar?" No, not at all. I've been doing this for over 6 months, and no one's complained yet! There's not any smell other than the clean smell left from the Homemade Laundry Soap.
I hope you have fun exploring all the ways you and your family can be frugal! I'd love to hear your stories when you try these new ideas and let me know if you have as much fun saving money as I do!

We too have been doing this in our family. We also use 3 tennis balls in the dryer to help reduce the static. It works awesome.
ReplyDeleteI use vinegar too! It works great, makes my towels sooo soft. I actually put it in an old downy softener ball (I used to pay lots of $ for fabric softener lol)It releases it during the rinse cycle for me. Just a thought.
