Wal-Mart Shopping Trip 2/17/11

I don't shop much at Wal-Mart anymore since I've started couponing.  In fact, I try to avoid it if at all possible.  I'm too addicted to the double coupons and the rewards programs at the other stores.  However, since I began making my own Homemade Laundry Soap and using my Frugal Fabric Softener one thing I've missed (but not enough to spend money on) is the scent of Original Gain!  Ahhh!  One of my favorite smells! :)    So, I had 3 Gain coupons I needed--wait, I wanted to use today and Wal-Mart had the lowest price on the dryer sheets so I decided to give it a try. Here's what I was able to get at Wal-Mart:

3 Gain Dryer Sheets--$.36 for all three
1 Bounty Paper Towel--$.75 (We were completely out, or I would have tried to wait on a better sale somewhere else!)
2 Kraft Shredded Cheese--$1.50 each
Kraft Singles--$2.40 (again, completely out! My oldest daughter LOVES cheese so we go through it rather fast!)
Almay Eye Shadow--$3 after coupon
Clorox Wipes to Go--FREE after coupon
Aquafresh Extreme Clean Toothepaste Trial Size--FREE after coupon
Danimals Yogurt--The only thing I have bought in awhile without a coupon! The things you'll do for your kids! Ha!

Now for the numbers....  The total before coupons was $28.20.  After coupons I ended up paying $13.95.  Savings of 51%! Not too bad for Wal-Mart.  I know I could have done better at a different store, but remember, I was picking up the Gain, plus waiting on a prescription to be filled, so I had time on my hands to look for a few decent deals.

You can read about my other recent shopping trips here.  I'd love to hear about your recent shopping trips.  It's exciting seeing how much everyone can save!
