Exercise, Eat Healthy & Lose Weight :: Are You Ready??


Alrighty....everyone who was interested in joining in with our accountability group to exercise, eat healthier & lose weight....here's MY plan!

I emphasize the word MY because I know that we are all different and we all need to do things differently for our own bodies!  Please do not take any of this as my advice telling you how you should exercise or eat.  I'm simply starting a daily post for us to discuss together our successes and failures.

Since I need to start out slowly, in order to better form healthy habits, I'm going to start this week out with 3 simple (at least I'm telling myself they're simple) goals!  Each week I will try to add a new goal, if I was able to maintain the ones from the previous week.  Also, at the end of each day, or the morning of the next day, I will write up a post with my true confessions of how I did on my goals.  If you are wanting to participate in our accountability group, then you will be able to comment on the post (or on facebook) anytime joining in on the fun!

Here are this week's 3 Simple Goals to get me started:

1.  Exercise at least 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week.  (I know that eventually this number should be more, but I will increase the time as I am able to meet my goals).

2.  Drink MORE Water!!!  This is a HUGE one for me.  I don't drink hardly any water, so if I'm able to start cutting out soda/sweet tea and replacing it with water not only will I be healthier, but I bet I'll drop a few pounds too!! (hopefully!)

3.  Count Calories!  I have the Fitness Pal App on my phone and I've used it on an off for about 3 days at a time.  This time, I'm going to try to be much more faithful at logging in my food and exercise so I can keep better track of my calories.  I have set a limit and am going to try my hardest to make it my goal to not go too far above that set number!

 
By the way, my long term goal is to lose about 35 pounds.  However, I'm going to do this in short term goals.  So, first weight loss goal is to lose 5 pounds!
