Thankful Thursday :: Are You Richer than 90% of the World's Population?

Well, it's "Thankful Thursday" here at The Frugal Family Life.

One week from today is Thanksgiving Day, the time of the year when we all actually remember to give's sad that we sometimes (most of the time) take so much for granted, isn't it?

This past week I have been overwhelmed by the grace of God.  I feel like I have been awakened to the realization that we have been blessed so abundantly more than we deserve!  I have SO SO much to be thankful for, and yet, most days I let most of those blessings be taken for granted without as much as a thought or a prayer to God of thanksgiving for each blessing!

I read a statistic the other day that if you own a house, a car, have food and clothes that you are richer than 90% of the world's population!!  That's like a slap in the face!  We have so much to be thankful for, but we are constantly consumed with the desire to get more--materialism!  Today, I want to hit the pause button for just a few minutes and take time to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for EVERY blessing He has so graciously provided me.  I am so very thankful for:

My husband
My 3 year old, beautiful girl
My 1 year old, sweetie pie
Our home
Food on the table
Two vehicles in working order
Having absolutely NO debt/credit cards (other than our mortgage)
My husband's job and willingness to provide for our family
Our church family
My various jobs that help supplement our income (piano lessons, tutoring, etc)
Coupons (lol)
This blog and readers like you that make it so worthwhile!
This list could literally go on and on and on some more......

What are YOU thankful for this week?
