Well, I don't want to write this post....at. all. But, here it is. My true confession for the weekend. I failed with my fitness goals yesterday and today. Unfortunately, I let the "weekend problem" that I always have overtake me yet again! It's going to sound like I'm making up excuses (which I probably am), but here are a few of the obstacles that got in my way..... My daughter woke up sick today so that always keeps a mommy a little busier, we were out of town on top of that (which also usually means it's hard to stick to a routine), and I just let the normal "free" weekend attitude overtake me, I guess.
So here's what happened. I didn't exercise yesterday or today. I didn't log my calories into My Fitness Pal app, AND, I didn't drink enough water. That's my true confession. Even though, I'd much rather write to you all that I was successful and had a great weekend, that's just not what happened!
Overall, though, I still think I had a *pretty* good week especially considering it was my first week trying to get back in the swing of things. Here's an overview of the whole week and my goals.
1. My goal was to exercise 20 minutes a day for at least 5 days in a week. I made it 4 out of 5 days.
2. My goal was to log my calories into My Fitness Pal app and stay within range. I succeeded 4 out of 6 days.
3. My goal was to drink enough water each day (half of my body weight in ounces of water). I succeeded 3 out of 6 days!
So...what am I going to do about it? I'll tell you, I'm for sure not going to let this failure get me down and cause me to give up. Because that's what I have always done in the past. That's why I usually have no progress. Instead, I'm using this as another kick start to the week! I'm going to jump back on board in full swing tomorrow, ready to achieve my goals again. I don't think I'm going to add any new goals, however, Instead, I think, I'll focus on trying to reach all of these goals for at least one week before adding anything new!
Thanks for the accountability! Whether anyone is reading this post or not, it really does help me just to type it out! I like having to "report" to someone, it makes me want to do better!
Here's to a new week, and a new, fresh start! I'll weigh in on Monday and let you know if I had any gain or loss and then I'll continue my daily updates Monday night! Have a great Sunday, everyone!
