Today's Apple Market Shopping Trip!

It's been way too long since I headed out for my weekly coupon shopping trips to Apple Market and Nichols--probably a month or so!  Can you believe it?  First of all, to be honest, I just hadn't been feeling well.  The first trimester of pregnancy just had me lacking energy and feeling to queasy to get too far away from home.  We have just been trying to use up some of the stuff we already have at home. However, those symptoms have now faded as I'm in my 15th week and I was feeling ready to venture out for some more deals!

Here's what we bought at Apple Market today:

(2) New York Garlic Bread, $2.50 each--used (2) $.40/1 from inserts = $1.70 each (bought different varieties so both coupons would double)

(1) Suave Men's Shampoo, $1.79--used $.75/1 HERE = $.29

(2) Old Orchard Healthy Balance Apple Juice, $1.29 each--used $1/2 HERE = $.29 each

(1) Downy Softener, $2.99--used $1/1 from inserts = $.99

(4) Ragu Spaghetti Sauce, $1.89 each--used $1/2 printables previously available = $.89 each (bought different varieties so both would double)

(1) Crest Toothpaste, $1.49--used $.75/1 from inserts = FREE

(1) Carmex Lip Balm, $1.39--used $.30/1 previously available = $.79 (we needed some Carmex and coupon expired today....probably not the best deal I could have gotten)

(1) Wet Ones Wipes, $1.55--used $1/1 previously available = FREE

Total amount BEFORE coupons :: $27.68

Total amount AFTER coupons :: $11.20 (plus $1.73 tax) = $12.93

That's a savings of 60%!
