A Peek Into Our Schoolroom!

It's almost time for a new year of homeschooling! We will be starting my six year old in first grade in just a few days!  I thought I would share a few posts to let you see how we do things around here!  Tonight I want to show you a few pictures of our "homeschool" room!  It's not a big room, but it works for us.

Over the next few days I will share some other posts related to our schedule, curriculum, past years of homeschooling and such.  :)  I'm *planning* on starting school on Monday, but I'm not quite finished organizing things yet....  So, it may get pushed back a day or two because we have a busy weekend with a birthday party, Sunday school class float trip and church!

Anyway....onto the school room:

Here we have our cube organizer.  I just recently went through everything in the room and reorganized so we actually have some empty spots!  That probably won't last too long!  :)

And our reading corner....all three girls needed a zebra bean bag, of course!  Oh, and I LOVE our pocket calendar on the wall!

Beside our reading corner is the piano (I teach piano lessons in this room as well.) and a storage cabinet which holds a lot of the games, manipulatives and other supplies we use during the school year!

In the back corner of the room is my daughter's writing desk, and my desk in the back closet with more storage above!  I should probably go buy another chair for my daughter, right? :)

Here's a full view of the room from the doorway.  Like I said, it's not huge, but it works for us.  And, of course, I've gotta have my treadmill somewhere!  This girl has to have a place to get in those morning runs (if I can't go outside)!

So, there you have it!  That's where we "do school."  I'll be posting more on the homeschool topic all throughout the next few days.  If you are interested, make sure and come back and see me!  Thanks!
