Some
of you probably already know that Nichols has a price matching
policy. This, in my opinion, is the number one best way to save money in
Ada. You can price match any local ad and then use your coupons (which
still double) to rack up some major savings.
Here’s a quick overview of how it works:
**You
must use a local ad. If you are shopping at a Nichols store in another
town besides Ada, you can only use ads to stores that are local to your
town. My matchups will reflect Ada local stores.
**You must
bring the ad with you to the checkout line. You will be asked to cut out
the part of the ad that you are matching and give it to the cashier.
**The
item must be the exact same brand, size, variety, etc in order to be price
matched. They do not match price per pound items such as meat or fruit,
however, if it is meat or fruit with a fixed price feel free to match it.
**Nichols
no longer price matches Walgreens due to their loyalty program.
**You
will need to be organized and be ready to tell the cashier the price of the
item you are matching before he/she scans it. I recommend you printing
this list or making your own to have it handy in the checkout line so you’re
not fumbling through all the ads. (although you still need them to show
the cashier).
It may sound like a lot of work, but you’ll be consistently saving a lot of money! Yes, you can price match at Walmart, but they sure don’t double the coupon on top of the price match savings! Price matching when paired with double coupons is the best of the best when it comes to saving money!
