What's Your ONE WORD for 2017?

It's hard to believe, but we are at the end of 2016. It's been quite a year of change for our family, but we are so grateful for everything God has done for us and how He blessed us and guided us through each and every situation this past year.

In the past I have set New Year's resolutions....and just like all of you, I'm assuming, I've kept them for all of around 3 weeks! So, I don't really get into the whole resolution thing anymore. However, I like the "one word" approach. What is one word that can describe what you want your focus to be for 2017?

My word this year is: Intentional. I want to be intentional when it comes to my Bible study time. I want to be intentional when it comes to training my children according to God's Word and in every aspect of our homeschool journey. I want to be intentional with my attitude and the way I treat people (my children included). I want to be intentional when spending time with my husband. I want to be intentional when it comes to keeping my home organized and clean. (I'm becoming very minimalist....more posts to come on that). I want to be intentional with my time spent blogging and expand the blog to be more than just coupons/deals. And of course, I couldn't be complete if I didn't want to be intentional when it comes to my health. And yes, that includes the hope of losing weight! Ha!

I'm not setting specific time limits, or rules and regulations that I must follow. That would just set me up for failure. Instead, I just want to remember the one word--Intentional. I want to live life with an intentional mindset. Everything is done for a reason and I want that reason to be to glorify God in all that I do. And no matter how intentional I may want to be, I realize also that I am nothing without God's help.  It doesn't matter how much I want to change or improve I can only do that through God's help and the saving power of Jesus Christ to bring me out of sin!  I'm so very thankful to be blessed to be able to celebrate another new year!

What's your ONE WORD for 2017?

1 Timothy 4:15-16 "Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers."
